  • As I begin my twenty-fifth year in public education in East Texas, I am honored to start my first year as Associate Principal of Bullard High School in 2017-2018. For the past twenty three years, I have served as a teacher at Bullard Middle School and Bullard Elementary School, Dean of Students at Bullard Middle
School, and Academic Advisor at Bullard High School.

I am from Tyler, Texas and a Robert E. Lee High School graduate. I graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associate of Arts in Teacher Education and from U. T. Tyler with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I then became certified to teach grades 1-8 English and Reading. After spending
several years in the classroom, I set out to complete my Master of Education degree through Lamar University. Upon completion of that, I became certified as a principal.

I have a wonderful husband Jeff, children, grandchildren, and many other family members who enrich my life beyond description. It is with their love and support that I arrive at work each day ready to face new challenges and be the best that I can be for BHS! I value this opportunity to serve the Bullard High
School faculty and staff, our students and their families, and the Bullard community.

  • John Dixon is beginning his 7th year in Education at Bullard ISD, where he taught and coached. Prior to Bullard, he was the Executive Director at the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Texas for 3 years and a Unit Director for 7 years. This will be his first year as an Assistant Principal at BHS. Mr. Dixon's goals are to lead by example while building strong relationships with students, parents and this great community. He believes that directing students isn't enough; that being in the trenches with the students and leading will bring unmeasurable success. John attended high school in Van, TX. He earned his Bachelor's degree from University of Texas at Tyler, and is completing his Master's from Stephen F Austin State University.

  • When people ask what I do, I am proud to answer that I'm an educator; 2016 begins my twenty-fourth year in this field. After earning my bachelor's degree at Texas A&M, I began teaching ESL, English, and journalism in Whitehouse. Since then I have taught every level of English 7 - 12, Spanish, Speech, and ESL in three high schools. In addition, I have served as an academic advisor and an assistant principal. I love making things happen for kids on a small or large scale, and I look forward to continuing to do so. I live a full life with my husband and two sons who attend Bullard ISD.
